“A man-portable air-defense system designed to target enemy aircraft. Requires lock-on before launch, after which the user must maintain target acquisition by tracking the aircraft with the weapon sight to preserve missile guidance. Missiles can reacquire targets mid-flight if tracking is lost or countermeasures are deployed.”
